Barking folk festival - 50th Anniversary - 5th July 2016

Mark will be playing at The Abbey Ruins at the heart of the action on Sunday 5th July, playing host to the Big Barking Picnic with a community sing-along, other fantastic folk bands, an open air film screening of Pirates of the Caribbean and much more! Abbey Ruins Live is headlined by local legend Billy Bragg. Join us in this amazing setting and enjoy the best of world and traditional folk.

There is a licensed bar run by The Club,

Broad Street at the venue and variety of caterers and delicious street food at the Abbey Ruins and nearby Abbey Green. This venue will also include the popular Summer Drinks Workshop, where families can create and sample their very own fruit smoothies and sodas.

Due to the limited capacity at the Abbey Ruins a priority ticket will be needed to access the Abbey Ruins on Sunday, but it will not guarantee entry as it will be on a first come, first served basis.

If the Ruins reach capacity there will be a big screen on the Abbey Green where visitors will be able to hear the concert and watch the screen. Tickets are free and can be downloaded online from Eventbrite or are available from the Box Office at Barking Learning Centre, and Dagenham Library – there is a maximum allocation of four tickets per household.
